Retail is fast and always moving – it starts with the customer and involves doing what it takes to deliver and measure results.
We look for colleagues who value the same things that we do, and who are passionate about food and quality customer service. As a company, we are driven by our responsibility to: Respect the Environment, Source with Integrity, Make a Positive Difference in Our Community, Reflect Our Nation’s Diversity, and Be a Great Place to Work.
Having a workforce that reflects our nation’s diversity is part of our mission at Loblaw. We ensure that our career opportunities are shared with a wide and diverse network of job seekers across Canada. As part of our corporate social responsibility commitment, our objective is to reflect the diversity of the communities in which our stores, distribution centres and offices are located. Partnerships, like the ones we have with Career Edge, Ability Edge and Career Bridge, continue to provide job seekers with greater access to our career opportunities.
Experienced hires can work in Loblaw stores, distribution centres and offices across the country. With positions in merchandising, marketing, brands, supply chain, IT, human resources, central support and finance, Loblaw has many opportunities to take advantage of. Simply put, we have more room to succeed and grow.
Loblaw recruitment teams partner with a number of post-secondary schools and alumni programs across the country to ensure that our part-time and full-time opportunities are visible to students. Working part time can provide you with flexibility and the opportunity to earn extra money while you go to school. Our full-time opportunities can leverage your post-secondary education and help you grow a career at Loblaw.
If you're a recent or soon-to-be university or college graduate who's ready for a new challenge, grad@Loblaw is for you. The program is not a temporary internship – it is a permanent, paid, full-time position that focuses on learning and development, and sets you up for long-term success with the Company.
A significant effort is made to connect with experienced colleagues and students who are already working at our stores, distribution centres and offices. We believe the experience that colleagues have acquired in our business will better prepare them for future opportunities at Loblaw.
Internal colleagues also have the ability to view all of the opportunities listed on our internal job posting site and job posting boards across the country. Colleagues are encouraged to have ongoing discussions with their Managers about their career interests and objectives.
The job offer is always an exciting time, and it is immediately preceded by the last step in our hiring process for external candidates – a reference check that includes a criminal history check. The process is quick and simple, and we are often able to confirm results within 24 hours.
