The fact that you’ve visited the Supply Chain career page tells us you bring something special to the table; perhaps it’s your knack for multi-tasking, your passion for the unexpected, or your appetite for challenge. Whatever it is, you’ve come to the right place.
The Loblaw Supply Chain is the heart of our business and is committed to making customers our number one priority. As a member of our dynamic Supply Chain network, you will play a role in ensuring our product – nearly 1billion units of it – makes its way from one of our 3,000 vendors, through one of our 27 distribution centres, to one of our 2,300 locations across Canada, and into the homes of millions of Canadians each year. How’s that for a challenge?
The Loblaw Supply Chain is comprised of five complementary units, each offering exciting opportunities that will play to your unique set of strengths:
Our Distribution team operates 16 corporate and 11 third-party-operated distribution centres (DCs) across Canada. Working in a fast-paced and rewarding environment, our dedicated Distribution colleagues are responsible for ensuring that the right amount of product arrives at the right store, at the right time.
Our Transport team manages inbound and outbound deliveries around the world. Whether by land, sea or rail, our Transport colleagues work closely with our Distribution Centres to collect product and ensure it is delivered quickly and safely into our stores across the country, where can be sold to and enjoyed by our customers.
In a business of our size and scale, accurate projections are crucial to our success. Our team of Replenishment colleagues works with Loblaw’s merchants to determine the right amount and variety of product that should be purchased from our suppliers and allocated to our different stores.
Supply Chain Logistics
Our Supply Chain Logistics team is responsible for offering valuable behind-the-scenes support for our Supply Chain network. Optimizing and standardizing our day-to-day business practices, this industrious team is challenged with finding opportunities to help our business run more efficiently.
Supply Chain Retail-Facing Support
Creating effective and intuitive planograms and managing on-shelf availability and inventory, the Supply Chain Retail-Facing Support team ensures that each of the hundreds of thousands of products we sell is well-placed within our stores to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
If acting as the glue that connects our business together – whether in forecasting; purchasing; analytics; logistics; transportation and distribution; or space planning – appeals to you, we have a feeling a career with the Loblaw Supply Chain is the change you’ve been looking for. If you think so too, we’d love to hear from you.
