Over the past 7 days, Loblaw has completely changed the way Canadians can choose to shop online.

On February 12, we announced that customers can now use ChatGPT to seamlessly shop for groceries via PC Express. Millions of Canadians are already using ChatGPT’s conversational AI to explore menu ideas and curate ingredients to make the perfect meal. Now, they can also select suggested products from their local Loblaw store to fulfil their menu inspirations via PC Express.

And then, on February 19, we announced a collaboration with Google, that will make our health, beauty and apparel assortments shoppable through Google search – either in “AI Mode” or in the Google Gemini app.

Both of these announcements are real, meaningful demonstrations of Loblaw’s commitment to agentic commerce, and to being an AI-native enterprise. We see AI-driven solutions as the natural evolution of customer shopping, and in so many ways, we’re simply meeting many customers where they are already.

But make no mistake, we’ll continue to offer amazing experiences across all of our other platforms and channels too. It’s the combination of all of our shopping experiences that allows us to have the greatest possible impact.
