New hard-discount grocery store creates more than 75 jobs and features bulk-sized products, local vendors and horse-and-buggy tie-ups

July 9, 2026, Brampton, ON — No Frills^®, one of Canada’s leading hard-discount grocery retailers, is opening a new No Frills^® in Elmira with a focus on fresh and local products, everyday value and practical shopping options tailored to the community.

That community-first approach is reflected throughout Jaden’s No Frills^®, located at 6 Arthur Street North. The store will offer club-sized and bulk-style products for families and shoppers who prefer to buy in larger formats, along with horse-and-buggy tie-ups outside to better accommodate members of the local Mennonite community.

For Store Owner Jaden Galachiuk, the opening marks an exciting next step in his No Frills^® journey, which began in 2022 as a Produce Manager. “Fresh food is very personal to me, and I’m proud to open a store that reflects Elmira’s needs,” said Galachiuk. “From quality produce and local products to everyday value and a welcoming shopping experience, our team is focused on serving this community every day.”

The new store will place a strong emphasis on fresh and local offerings, including quality produce, in-store baked goods, hot chickens, and local products such as Cottage Country Candies, Jakeman’s Maple Syrup and Dutch Traditions Candy. For added convenience, customers will also have access to PC Express, allowing them to shop online and pick up their groceries at the store, along with self-checkouts for a faster in-store experience.

The opening of Jaden’s No Frills^® will create more than 75 local jobs and provide Elmira shoppers with a practical, welcoming and value-driven grocery experience built around community, quality produce and affordability. To mark the occasion, the store will make a $1,500 donation to Woolwich Community Services, an Elmira-based organization that provides community support services, including a food bank program.
