New Maxi & Cie store in Sainte-Thérèse officially opens its doors

Montreal, QC – June 18, 2026 – It’s official: the new Maxi store has opened its doors on Sicard Street. Designed to meet the needs of local families, this store offers high-quality food at affordable prices in all-new environment. It also features a wide selection of home goods, including décor, tableware and small appliances, as well as the Joe Fresh family apparel range. The opening of this new 42,000-square-foot store represents a multi-million-dollar investment in the neighbourhood and will create around 115 jobs.

“In today’s climate, where everyone is looking to cut down on their grocery expenses, Maxi stands out as the smart choice. This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to making quality products accessible at affordable prices to an ever-growing number of Quebecers who trust Maxi to provide their food,” said Patrick Blanchette, Senior Vice-President, Maxi.

To mark the opening and demonstrate his commitment to actively supporting the local community, store manager Dominick Casault chose to make a $2500 donation to Groupe Marraine Tendresse, an organization dedicated to supporting families in the Thérèse-De Blainville regional county municipality as they adjust to their new roles as parents following the arrival of a new baby.

“My team and I look forward to welcoming customers and helping them discover the freshness and quality of their favourite products at the best price. We are also committed to playing an active role in the community, supporting local organizations and making a positive impact on the lives of our customers,” said Dominick Casault, Maxi Store Manager.
