New store creates more than 80 jobs and offers quality produce, everyday essentials, hot chickens and in-store baked goods at affordable prices

October 1, 2026, Brampton, ON — No Frills^®, one of Canada’s leading hard-discount grocery retailers, is opening its first location in Bowmanville bringing everyday value, quality produce and a wide variety of products to shoppers in the growing community.

Located at 95 Baseline Road West, Tim’s No Frills^® will offer customers a full grocery shop, with quality produce and everyday essentials at affordable prices. The store will also feature hot chickens, in-store baked goods, assortment of Hot Wheels, PC Express pick-up and delivery and Flashfood, along with a large seasonal garden centre.

For Store Owner Tim Charles, the opening marks an exciting next step following nearly a decade of experience with No Frills^®. Over the years, he has worked in stores and communities across Ontario, including Pembroke, Orléans, Stittsville, Windsor and Hamilton, gaining experience across different markets and roles before taking the next step in his career as the Owner of Tim’s No Frills^® in Bowmanville.

The new store will create more than 80 jobs and is designed to provide Bowmanville shoppers with a convenient, welcoming and value-driven grocery experience.

To celebrate the grand opening, Tim’s No Frills^® will donate $1,500 to the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation, supporting vital medical equipment and capital improvements to enhance patient care.

Tim’s No Frills^®, located at 95 Baseline Road West in Bowmanville, will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
