Renovated St. Catharines store features an improved layout and expanded product offerings

BRAMPTON, ON - October 2, 2026 - Zehrs Geneva Street is celebrating the completion of a renovation designed to provide Niagara shoppers with an improved and more convenient shopping experience.

Located at 285 Geneva Street in St. Catharines, the refreshed store features a redesigned layout, expanded product offerings and new general merchandise options, including home decor, toys and housewares. Customers will also find an expanded assortment of Joe Fresh styles, Natural Value products and a growing assortment of ethnic foods, in-store baked goods and hot food options.

The completed renovation will be marked with a community celebration on October 2, featuring a spin-the-wheel activity where customers have the opportunity to win prizes.

“We have been looking forward to this renovation for a long time and are excited to share the refreshed store with our customers,” said Larry Antonio, Store Manager, Zehrs Geneva Street. “We’re proud to offer our customers an easier shopping experience and an expanded assortment of products across several departments that we know the community will love.”

The store continues its strong support of local producers and farmers by carrying locally sourced products including Roman Cheese and remains one of the region’s top-selling stores for donuts.

Community has long been an important part of Zehrs Geneva Street’s connection with local shoppers for many years and the store supports a number of local organizations and initiatives throughout the year.

As part of the celebration, Zehrs Geneva Street will present a $5,336 donation to Community Care of St. Catharines, reinforcing the store’s longstanding commitment to supporting local organizations and helping strengthen the community.

Store Manager Larry Antonio was born and raised in the Niagara region and has been with Loblaw for 32 years. He began his career as a Grocery Manager before progressing to Assistant Store Manager and has been a Store Manager for 15 years. He is a strong community advocate, and, during the summer, the store hosts community barbecues every Saturday from May through October, providing an opportunity for colleagues and customers to connect while supporting local causes.

Zehrs Geneva Street is located at 285 Geneva Street in St. Catharines, ON, and is open Sunday to Monday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. With 180 colleagues, Zehrs Geneva Street continues to play an important role in the local community and remains focused on providing Niagara shoppers with quality products, convenience and service.
