Giving Canadians a little time back

For millions of Canadians, shopping is part of the weekly routine. But how they shop is changing, with more ways to get what they need, whether that's browsing the aisles, picking up groceries on the way home or having everyday essentials delivered to their door. That flexibility brings value beyond the price at checkout, helping make everyday shopping more convenient and better suited to their busy lives.

Online shopping is playing a growing role in that shift. From PC Express pickup and delivery to DoorDash, Uber and Instacart, Canadians have more ways to shop on their own terms. At Shoppers Drug Mart, customers can also shop a wider selection of beauty products online and pick up their orders in-store, making it easier to find what they need. And with delivery in as little as two hours coming to select Shoppers Drug Mart locations in the GTA by the end of 2026, those options are continuing to grow.

Canadians are embracing these options, with millions of orders filled each year across Loblaw's online shopping services and pickup and delivery available through 980 stores across Canada. These numbers reflect how online shopping has become part of everyday life, giving customers the freedom to plan ahead, shop on their own schedule or get what they need quickly. Through third-party delivery services, orders can arrive in as little as 30 minutes, offering added convenience when time is limited.

"What surprises me most is how quickly Canadians are embracing online grocery shopping," says Kevin Parry, Vice President, Online Grocery (PCX), Joe Fresh and Right-Hand Side (RHS) at Loblaw.

"We're seeing hundreds of thousands of customers  shop through PC Express every week, and what's exciting is learning how customers use these services differently and finding new ways to make their shopping experience even easier, from discovering products to getting what they need faster."

But a better shopping experience isn't only about speed. It's also about helping customers find what they're looking for with less effort. Online collections like the Protein Hub bring relevant products together in one place, allowing customers to explore options that suit their needs without having to sort through countless items. By simplifying the search, these collections make the overall experience more useful and convenient.

That same focus on accessibility is extending beyond groceries. Joe Fresh is now available for delivery through DoorDash, giving customers an easy way to shop for clothing and everyday basics. Whether someone is looking for a last-minute essential or simply prefers to shop from home, it's one more way Loblaw is making familiar products easier to access through the platforms Canadians already use.

Supporting these services are team members who help bring the online shopping experience to life. Across millions of orders, teams are working to ensure customers receive the products they need through a simple, reliable and convenient experience, connecting the ease of shopping online with the service Canadians have come to expect from the stores and brands they know.

As shopping habits continue to evolve, Loblaw is adapting to give Canadians more flexibility in how they shop. Whether they're browsing in-store, discovering products online, picking up an order or choosing delivery, customers can find an option that works for their routines and priorities. And by making everyday shopping a little simpler, they can spend less time on errands and more time on what matters most.
