Maxi Officially Opens in Bathurst

MONTRÉAL, QC, June 4, 2026 – Maxi officially opened its Bathurst store today, located on St. Peter Avenue, following the conversion of the former No Frills location. Building on the positive response to its Caraquet store, Maxi is pleased to serve the Bathurst community with its commitment to value, quality and freshness. Designed with the needs of local families in mind, the store offers an enhanced product assortment and an improved shopping experience, in both official languages.

“Every dollar matters to today’s families. With the opening of Maxi Bathurst, we want to deliver even greater value to our customers through unbeatable prices on quality products, an expanded assortment of local products and practical solutions that make everyday life easier,” said Patrick Blanchette, Senior Vice President, Maxi.

Customers will discover a wide selection of fresh products, ready-to-eat meals and bread baked in-store. They will also enjoy an expanded assortment of local products that showcase the flavours of Acadia and New Brunswick, while also featuring many customer favourites from Québec, as well as organic and natural product options. Maxi is committed to maintaining strong product availability throughout the store to provide customers with a simple, reliable shopping experience. The PC Optimum loyalty program and the Imbattable price-matching program, which matches competitors’ advertised prices, are also available.

To mark the opening and demonstrate its commitment to the local community, Store Manager Antoine Bélanger will present a $2,500 donation to the Bathurst Volunteer Centre, which supports individuals and families in need throughout the region.

“This opening marks the beginning of a new chapter for our team. We are excited to welcome customers from Bathurst and to play an active role in the community. Today’s donation to the Bathurst Volunteer Centre reflects our commitment to supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in the region from day one,” added Antoine Bélanger, Store Manager, Maxi Bathurst.
