Maxi to Open Soon in Montreal's Former Forum

MONTREAL, Quebec, July 13 – Maxi announced today that it will soon be opening a new store in Montreal's former Forum, with construction and fit-out work now underway. Representing a multi-million-dollar investment, the new store, spanning more than 13,000 square feet, is scheduled to open by the end of 2027 and will enhance the grocery offering in an area that is experiencing significant growth and activity. Located in the heart of a vibrant district frequented by residents, workers, and students, the new Maxi will offer a wide selection of fresh food and quality grocery products at affordable prices.

"We are very proud to be opening a store in such an iconic location as the former Forum. This neighborhood is dynamic, diverse, and undergoing significant transformation. Our goal is simple: to provide local residents, families, students, and everyone who lives or works in the area with a grocery store where they can save on their grocery bill without compromising on quality or selection. We look forward to opening our doors in 2027 and becoming part of this community," said Patrick Blanchette, Senior Vice President, Maxi.

This new store reflects Maxi's commitment to providing affordable groceries where people live, work, and study. Recent urban openings, including stores on René-Lévesque Boulevard, at Plaza Saint-Hubert, and in the Village, have demonstrated strong demand for quality, affordable grocery options in the heart of Montreal. The addition of a Maxi at the former Forum continues this strategy by making low prices even more accessible to a diverse customer base.

Customers will find more than 6,000 products from Quebec, along with a broad assortment of multicultural foods, ready-to-eat meals, and natural and organic products to meet the needs of the area's diverse population. Staying true to Maxi's promise of delivering outstanding value, the store will also offer the benefits of the Imbattable and PC Optimum programs, helping customers save even more on their grocery.
