Rooted in the Prairies

Long before a bag of roasted lentils or fava bean snacks lands on a store shelf, the story begins in the Prairies, where generations of farmers have worked the land and grown crops destined for markets around the world.
For Canadian supplier Three Farmers Foods, that sparked an important question – what if more of that value stayed here at home?
Founded by sisters Natasha and Elysia Vandenhurk alongside their family and neighbouring farmers, Three Farmers Foods was built on the belief that Canadian-grown ingredients could become something more – nutritious snacks made with transparency, care and a direct connection back to the farm.
“It’s important for people to know where their food comes from and who grew it,” says Natasha. “We’ve always wanted to create something that supports Canadian agriculture while connecting people more closely to their food.”
