Loblaw Healthcare Services and Consumer Health Privacy Notices

Loblaw Companies Limited and certain of its subsidiaries in Canada, (“Loblaw”, “Shoppers Drug Mart”, “we”, “us” or “our”) as well as the pharmacists and healthcare providers who provide services to our customers and patients (“you”), understand the responsibility that comes with collecting, using, and sharing your personal information, and are committed to protecting your privacy.

Our Healthcare Services and Consumer Health privacy notices describe how personal information – any information that identifies you or could be reasonably associated with you –is collected, used and disclosed in the course of your receiving of our healthcare and wellness services. The notice that applies depends on the context in which your personal information is collected, used or disclosed.

The Healthcare Services Privacy Notice applies when our healthcare providers, including pharmacists and physiotherapists, collect, use, or disclose personal information to provide healthcare and related professional services, to support, document, manage, pay for prescriptions or services, and comply with legal or professional obligations relating to healthcare services provided by a healthcare provider.

The Consumer Health Privacy Notice applies when we collect, use, or disclose personal information outside a healthcare services context, including wellness goals, fitness and activity information, nutrition information, participation in wellness programs, health-related preferences, and interactions with health and wellness online tools, features, content, and services.

These notices supplement our general Loblaw Privacy Policy. In the event of any inconsistency, the Healthcare Services Privacy Notice and the Consumer Health Privacy Notice, as applicable, will prevail.
